    The damage caused by the raiders

    Police have launched an investigation following a break-in at a charity shop in the town centre.

    Raiders targeted the Capability Scotland store at 47 High Street between 5.30pm on Tuesday and 7am on Wednesday, making off with two charity boxes containing a small amount of coins.

    A police spokesman said: “Inquiries are ongoing to trace those responsible and anyone with information is asked to come forward.”
