    • Dot and Lawrence Lavin won the Teviot Tyres (Colin Easton) open pairs, beating Grant Turnbull and Duncan Macdougall by eight shots to three in the final.

    The competition attracted an entry of 20 combinations and was played a round robin  of three games of six ends, with the top finishers in each section advancing to the quarter-finals.
