    An extension to the Borders Railway could cater for the expected “substantial increase in vistors” to Hawick, with Center Parcs’ indoor water park likely to be a big draw

    Although welcoming publication of the  Borders Transport Corridors study draft report, Campaign for Border Rail chairman Simon Walton is mystified as to why it has labelled extending the Borders Railway to Hawick and Carlisle as a “high-cost option”.
