    Hawick obstacle racer has Mick Scott booked his place at both the world and European championships after finishing third in a field of around 600 in the MacTuff event at Knockhill in Fife over the weekend. Three Teri women also qualified for the European championships in the over-35s category. PICTURES: TH PHOTOGRAPHY

    You have to be a bit mad to do obstacle racing.

    Fortunately, Hawick seems to have some athletes who fit the bill for this new craze and they have been proving they can compete with the best.
