On Christmas Eve, Santa toured Burnfoot handing out bags of sweets to children on the estate.
The cavalcade was headed by PC Stuart Hogg in a patrol car, with Colin Knight driving the vehicle pulling Santa’s sleigh.
Speaking to The Hawick Paper, Ann Knight, Burnfoot Community Council chairwoman, said: “The children were thrilled, and it was nice to see our Carnival Queen Skye Clears and Burnfoot Cornet David Wright taking part. I want to thank Morrisons and Sainsbury’s for supplying the sweets.”
