The money was raised through a well-supported competition on the West Stewart Place green earlier this year, as well as the proceeds from the final game of the season which saw the club’s ladies celebrate 40 years of being playing members.
Mr Turnbull commented: “We are extremely grateful to the Wilton bowlers for their generous donation to the Christmas lights fund. Each year we try to build on the lights we have, but it’s not easy. However, gestures like this really help us.”
