Some of the organisations involved in the Stobs Camp Project came together for the open day in the lesser town hall last Sunday.

The aim of the event, which attracted a steady stream of visitors all day, was to show the public what the project was all about, and to hear stories to add to what is becoming a massive archive of detail and photographic record about what is universally recognised as an internationally important First World War site.

The community project aims to better understand Stobs Camp and the role it played in the Great War, to value, share and commemorate the camp, the people connected with it and to protect its legacy.
