Members of the Hawick United Ladies team certainly went the extra mile for their chosen charity recently.
The team members took part in a Total Warrior event in Edinburgh on September 18 raising an impressive total of £220 for the Special Care Baby Unit at the Borders General Hospital.
Speaking following the event, Hawick United Ladies coach Wullie Frew said: “The girls chose the Special Care Baby Unit as a couple of the team members have benefited from the excellent care provided to their babies.”
He added: “I was incredibly proud of the team for taking part in the Total Warrior obstacle event.
“Everyone was amazing and they all really got stuck into the challenge.
“I am also grateful to my wife Tania for taking part and she helped with the sponsor money.”
