Hawick United Ladies and opponents Blackburn United joined forces before their SWFL Division 2 Central match to back football charity Show Racism The Red Card.
The visitors won 9-1 at the Volunteer, but coach Wullie Frew praised his team after the bottom versus top clash.
“They all put in a fabulous effort,” said Frew.
“The girls never shied away from the opposition all game.”
Hawick’s goal came from Sarah Savage, who finished a Sara Robson pass.
