    Tourism kiosk set to close in 2019

    The town’s tourist information kiosk at Tower Mill is likely to shut in 18 months’ time, The Hawick Paper can reveal.

    According to a wellplaced source, the three members of staff at the VisitScotland facility were given the bombshell news last week.

    We reported in our October 13 edition that Live Borders, which already runs Tower Mill, is to take over the kiosk from the end of this month as part of VisitScotland’s Information Partner (VIP) programme.
