    Hopes that town in ‘strong place’ for new high school

    Local councillors are determined Hawick should be “next on the list” for a stateof-the-art high school.

    And two local members have been heavily involved in high-level talks in a bid to bring what they perceive as educational parity to the town.

    Last week, Councillor Clair Ramage – a high school teacher for 34 years – told The Hawick Paper that the town was being left behind in the regeneration of schools.
