Wednesday marked a special milestone for The Hawick Paper as it celebrated the tenth anniversary of its first edition.
Since that inaugural issue, the paper has grown into a much-loved part of the local community, reporting on the people, organisations, businesses, sport and events that make Hawick and the surrounding area unique.
Editorial and production manager Jason Marshall commented: “Reaching ten years is a huge milestone for the paper, and one we could never have achieved without the loyal support of our readers and advertisers.
“We are immensely grateful to everyone who has backed us over the past decade and helped make the paper what it is today.”
Adding, he said: “While it is important to look back on how far we have come, our focus remains firmly on the future.
“And we are hugely excited about the next ten years of continuing to serve the community, tell its stories, and give local businesses a trusted and effective platform to reach their customers.”
