    Center Parcs puts down roots

    First Minister among those to plant a tree to mark start of work on £450million holiday village at Huntlaw Farm

    Work has officially begun on the long-anticipated £450million Center Parcs holiday village, with First Minister John Swinney joining developers and local schoolchildren to mark the milestone with a ceremonial tree planting.

    The event, held on Wednesday near the Hassendean site, brought together Center Parcs chief executive Colin McKinlay, pupils from Trinity and Stirches primary schools, and local representatives as construction of the major tourism development got under way.
