Hawick set to welcome one of the world’s most iconic sporting events

Hawick will be watched by billions around the world when the 2027 Tour de France races through the town on the opening day of the world’s biggest cycle event.

It was announced yesterday (Thursday) that almost 200 elite riders and their professional teams will speed through the town on Friday, July 2, 2027, negotiating the Galalaw roundabout as part of stage one from Edinburgh to Carlisle.
