    Businesses and homes have been badly affected as Storm Claudia brought heavy downpours to Hawick earlier this week.

    Prolonged rain overnight Wednesday into yesterday (Thursday) took its toll, particulary in Stirches where residents were left counting the cost of the latest significant weather event to strike the town.
