Hawick head coach Darren Cunningham has confirmed that the signing of winger Ross Combe from Gala has now been completed.
Last season’s top try scorer in the Premiership, Combe was announced as a new Hawick signing at the end of May. But it has emerged that he hadn’t actually put pen to paper – until now.
Cunningham explained: “Due to administrative problems he ended up not signing for us when he was going to. But he’s kept in touch and he’s been able to sign now, so that’s good news.”
There are potentially more new recruits in the pipeline, but the new head coach is unable to reveal the names just yet. “There’s a couple of boys we’re still talking to,” he told The Hawick Paper.
