    Town’s ancient ceremonies prevail

    Hawick’s traditions were maintained when the meiths and marches were walked early on Saturday morning, more than three months after the Common-Riding was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

    Also carried out was the marking of the ancient boundary between the town and Wilton at the Coble Pool.
