    Brave OAP Muriel beats odds to return home

    Muriel Mayo is welcomed home to Langlands Court by granddaughter Daisy and her cousin Erica Ferguson and piper Malcolm McEwan

    Courageous pensioner Muriel Mayo received an emotional welcome home after three months battling multiple health hurdles – including coronavirus – to a piper aptly playing Battle’s O’er.

    The remarkable 82-year-old was greeted by the surprise rendition, piped by Malcolm McEwan, when she finally returned to Langlands Court on Monday.
