    £88m flood scheme work set to restart

    How the six-month closure of Commercial Road will affect the town centre

    Preparations are now under way to recommence work on the town’s £88million flood protection scheme after changes to construction industry guidelines.

    Scottish Government ministers have announced that, from Monday the construction industry can move into phase three of the six-phase road map designed to ease coronavirus restrictions.
