    The viaduct section of Richard Hall’s model starts to take shape

    A rail enthusiast who got his inspiration for model-making from his father, has embarked on a project to build a miniature replica of Stobs station and viaduct.

    Richard Hall, a 52-year-old classic car restorer living in Norfolk, explained to The Hawick Paper his interest in Stobs, the first station south of Hawick on the Edinburgh-Carlisle Waverley Line, controversially closed by British Rail in 1969.
