    Warm tributes have been paid to Burnfoot Community Council chairwoman Ann Knight who lost her fight against cancer at the weekend.

    Warm tributes have been paid to Burnfoot Community Council chairwoman Ann Knight who lost her fight against cancer at the weekend.

    Ann, 78, moved to Hawick in 1982 from the market town of Faringdon, near Swindon. She had worked as a domestic cleaner. While on a holiday in Hawick she met Peter Knight and they were married in November 1992.
