Disquiet is being expressed following the return of the newly-refurbished Gilbert Davidson Fountain to Wilton Lodge Park earlier this week, amid claims the design brief has not been adhered to.
The completion of the £40,000 project has met with a “mixed reaction” from townsfolk, after it emerged the colour scheme used for the refurb – which this newspaper understood had been agreed by the community stakeholders’ group as blue and gold – also includes red and brown.
