With plans for a £2million holiday park in the town hanging by a thread, Scottish Borders Council has admitted that it still hasn’t met with the developer, despite telling this newspaper almost five weeks ago that it would do so.
As reported on August 17, the local authority said it would meet with Colania Lodges, of Coldstream, “in the very near future” after it emerged that the developer’s three-year lease option on the land had expired in July.
