Mounting levels of fly-tipping in the local countryside pose a serious risk to both humans and animals, and must be addressed by the council, according to a concerned resident.
The woman, who asked to remain anonymous, reported bins full of rubbish and “a significant amount of other rubbish” dumped in a lay-by on the Burnfoot to Minto road and over the railway embankment fence.
