Axing a rural bus service will have a devastating effect on isolated users in the local community, according to a local councillor.
Watson McAteer says he is “shocked” by the news that the Craik/Roberton/Hawick bus route will cease in just over a month’s time.
He is also angered that the decision to remove the service was taken “without consultation.
