An appeal to erect 12 turbines on Harwood Estate has been endorsed by the Scottish Government.
The proposal by Leeds-based Energiekontor Ltd, was initially rejected by Scottish Borders Council and was backed by 54 objections, against 30 in support. The initiative was also opposed by the area’s community councils – Denholm, Hawick, Hobkirk, Newcastleton, Southdean and Upper Teviotdale last November.
