Traders have welcomed a police blitz on motorists who flout town centre parking regulations, but say that more needs to be done to save the High Street.
Local officers teamed up with the new Community Action Team on Friday to tackle drivers who park illegally and affect business in the shops. And although the operation has been welcomed, there are calls for more permanent action.
