    Bed in front of the museum has been given a reprieve

    Scottish Borders Council leader Shona Haslam’s visit to Hawick in June is being hailed as helping bring about a U-turn over controversial plans to ditch the town’s flower beds.

    Ms Haslam accepted Councillor Stuart Marshall’s invitation to tour the town, amid growing concerns over  SBC’s controversial proposals to grass over flower beds and slash the frequency of grass cutting from ten to 20 days.
