Young Hawick runners Connor McLeod and Ellis McKean reached cloud nine in giving heavenly shows at St Ronan’s Games with high flying wins.
From the Hawick Riverside Peds stable, 10-year-old McLeod was first to star when shining in the junior 90 metres handicap.
Going from a mark of 22m, the Trinity primary school pupil caught the eye when buzzing to a heat win in 10.15 seconds, which was the quickest time of the opening runs by far.
