    School head cites ‘a small minority’

    Senior staff at Burnfoot Community School have insisted “the positives outweigh the negatives” following safety concerns highlighted in The Hawick Paper last week.

    The assurance came from joint-head teacher Jenni Corson at a meeting of Burnfoot Community Council on Monday night, after reports emerged that a pupil had allegedly brandished a knife in the school.
