    Police have been praised for stepping up patrols around the town’s primary schools and the high school in a bid to tackle dangerous parking.

    It was reported at last week’s community council meeting that patrols had been carried out at Burnfoot, Drumlanrig, Wilton, Denholm, and Hawick
    High.
