    Steps to be taken to tackle burn flooding

    Councillor Stuart Marshall at the Stirches Burn which burst its banks last week

    Work is to be carried out to help prevent Stirches Burn from further flooding, after nearby properties were damaged during last Thursday’s storm.

    Local ward councillor, Stuart Marshall, who is also chairman of the town’s volunteer flood group, has been given assurances this week that preventative measures are set to be put in place.
