Buildings saved from closure

The library, Borders Textile Towerhouse and Heritage Hub

While the dark clouds of closure have lifted over three of Hawick’s iconic buildings, a “use it or lose it” call has been made by a senior town councillor.

The welcome news that the library, Heritage Hub, and Borders Textile Towerhouse are to stay open came at a special meeting of Scottish Borders Council, yesterday (Thursday).
