    The leader of Scottish Borders Council is this week calling on Audit Scotland to carry out “a full review” of Hawick’s flood protection scheme.

    Councillor Euan Jardine said he has “formally requested” the report in a bid to “strengthen oversight and improve funding arrangements for major infrastructure schemes”.
