    Electric signs and buffer speed limits to be trialled

    Flashing speed signs, denoted by the red dots, will be installed in Burnfoot east and Wilton Hill areas of the town

    Buffer speed limits and electronic signs are set to be installed in the area to enhance road safety.

    Having considered traffic data, Hawick will have more electronic signs than any other part of the Borders.

    Electronic signs on the A7 may be temporary as part of the trial to determine if they have any effect on driver behaviour.
