    The community trust has big plans for renewable energy and tourism on Holm Hill

    It has been owned by one of Scotland’s biggest landowners and farmed by the community for generations. 

    But a “brighter and more diverse” future awaits for Holm Hill, land adjacent to Newcastleton, after the local community trust completed a pioneering buyout which could lead to similar projects nearby.
