    Sign-in scheme mooted for pubs

    Local pubs and hotels have given a mixed response to a proposal which would allow customers to socialise at their premises without social distancing provided they sign in with their name and address.

    The proposal would see the licenced premises labelled as “controlled environments”, and has been touted as a possible saviour to an industry which is fighting to return to business since the Covid-19 lockdown closed its doors almost three months ago.
